NEW YEAR

 Hey guys,

HAPPY NEW YEAR <3
It's Alice here today and hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and New Year.

I wanted to talk about my New Years resolutions-

My first resolution is to work harder at school- I have my GCSEs coming up in about 18 months and so I need to make sure I have all my notes in order and I am prepared.

Secondly I would like to spread more positivity- sounds very cheesy but true because if you do a small thing a day to make someone else smile it will end up making your life happier aswell.

Thirdly I would like to lose weight - I must say this every year but I would like to really try this year. I am not happy with my body and I would love to feel more confident and happier with myself. I am going to try exercise more and try (emphasise on try) to eat healthier. If anyone has any tips to help me eat healthier or any other way of losing weight fast and effectively please leave a comment below as it would really help.

Thanks again for reading, see you soon-

I permanently straightened my hair!

Hey guys,

It's Alice doing this blog post today and I know it has been a ridiculously long time but we are so sorry! <3

I thought I would do a little blog post on what happened to me recently.

Back in October it was my birthday and as a present I was allowed to have my hair permanently straightened. To some of you this must seem very confusing as to why I would want to have this done! Basically my hair is a blonde Afro- I feel as this is the only way to describe it! It is very curly and frizzy, and without lots of straightening and products is unmanageable! I was straightening my hair nearly everyday and it probably took about 1 hour and from wet about 4. I was so annoyed with it and couldn't stand it anymore. The hairdressers suggested getting my hair permanently straightened plenty of times but I was put off it because of the price and so my birthday seemed like a great time to do it!

I spent 5 hours in the hairdressers with treatments repetively being put on my hair and lots of straightening was done! This were the results:

Left:before Right:after

I'm so pleased with the results. It was quite expensive but so unbelievably worth it.

Thanks for reading
Lots of love,

Update!

Hey guys,

Sorry it is not a proper post today, but we just wanted to let you know that we won't be posting much for the next 2-4 weeks because we are both on holiday! Alice is currently in Menorca with one of her friends from her primary school, and I am going to Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore for a month, so we both won't have much time! But if we do, we promise we will try to write and catch up with you guys!

(Sorry for the crappy quality picture- it's so on bloglovin' there is something in the image box and cos it is a cute quote)

Love you

Morning routine (for party)

Hey guys,

Wow, time flies! It's been a while, and we know we say this every time but we promise we will try to be more organised and post regularly!
I had an extremely belated birthday party last weekend with quite a lot of my friends and it was a lovely night! We all dressed up and listened to music in a 'marquee' thing! However, it takes me forever to get ready normally so I spent most the day preparing for the evening :p  In this post I'm going to be showing you my skin care routine in the morning, so my face was prepared for makeup! I will also do another post showing you what makeup I wore on the night and my outfit! I hope you enjoy...

I woke up, and of course as usual stayed in bed for about 1 hour just going on my phone and chilling! I then got up, and went straight to the bathroom! I washed my face with some warm water and then pat dried it!

I put this warming mineral mask on from 'The Body Shop'. I personally love this mask, as with warming masks you feel like it is actually doing something! This one really hydrates my skin as well and leaves it feeling ultra smooth!

I left my mask on for 20 minutes, so whilst I was waiting for that, I used this Garnier tanning moisturiser on the test of my body! It gives a really nice, even tan that doesn't look fake and it is so easy to use! I would recommend this to anyone who struggles with fake tan and this left me with no streaks and comes through with hours and stays for ages as well, which is always a bonus!

Also before I took off the mask, I painted my toenail with Tanya Burr's nail varnish in the colour 'Peaches & Cream'. It is a gorgeous pinky- nudey colour and went perfectly with the makeup and dress I was wearing!

I then rinsed off the mask with a cloth and slightly warm water, and dried my face!

I then shaved using the Venus Breeze shaver! Don't know whether anyone is interested in this- but I really like it as it has moisture bars on the edge (think that is what they are called) which mean you don't cut yourself and as the name would suggest, they again moisturise!

After all of that, I used this tea tree skin clearing lotion from 'The Body Shop' on any spots or blemishes I had! You can get a smaller one with 25ml for £3 or a larger one with 50ml for £8! It works really well as it has tea tree in which is great for spots and most of mine disappear if I use this regularly.

This is a morning moisturiser from Botanics!  It doesn't do anything special, but it does what it says on the box and works well! My face always feel hydrated and nourished after using it! I also think it does brighten my skin in the morning when I am looking far from acceptable :o

Finally, I used this eyes-awake recovery gel sample from Elemis! I always look like I'm still asleep in the mornings, but this actually makes me feel more awake! You just put around your eye and it is refreshing as well so that is probably why it works so well- I have no idea that Is just a guess!!!

I did all of this in the morning, and then later on, my face was prepped and ready for make-up and it just made it easier! I'm going to do another post on my make-up and Alice is going to do one on her evening routine that she did after the party! We are also going to be doing an OOTD for what we wore, so expect those  soon!

I hope you enjoyed this and it gave you some inspiration for skin are products!

Love you guys

Jewellery <3's

Hey guys,

So it's been a while... We both had a full week of exams which also meant lots of revision, so we have had no time to really do anything! Wow how sad we sound

For this post, I wanted to something a bit different, so I decided to do what jewellery pieces I am loving at the moment! I don't know whether anyone has done this, I'm sure they have but I just haven't seen it, but I thought I would give it a go!

Recently I've been loving wearing rings! I don't know why but I just think they add so much to an outfit and go with everything, but are just simple and easy to wear! My favourite at the moment is this one!

Please excuse my fugly hand, aha!

It is from a French shop called Pimkie, but I looked around for you guys and found that there were some that were quite similar on amazon if you search leaf ring in the jewellery section, like, this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/925-Silver-Trailing-Leaf-Thumb/dp/B00EWPWIPY/ref=sr_1_2?s=jewelry&ie=UTF8&qid=1400954306&sr=1-2&keywords=Leaf+ring which are all gorgeous as well and not too expensive! (Sorry for the ugly link, does anyone know how to link a word on the blogger app on an iPad?)

         And again

If you are just starting to wear rings or want to start wearing them but you don't think that last one is for your don't think you're brave enough to go for one quite as decorative and large, then these ones from H&m would be perfect. Their jewellery is always great and whenever I go in I find something I want to buy! These rings are really basic but have lovely designs on whilst being quite subtle.

My next favourite thing that hopefully I will be wearing lots in summer, are these sunglasses again from h&m! They were around £8 so for h&m reasonably expensive but I just love them! I have a tiny head so it is hard for me to find a pair of sunglasses that don't cover my whole face. These sunglasses look quite big, but they don't look too big on my face or hide it. I love the tortoiseshell design and also the gold accents.

At the moment I'm loving wearing this clip from new look to pull back the front bits of my hair! The light baby pink is such a gorgeous colour and really compliments my brown hair! It is great for having something different rather than having your hair completely down.

Then finally is this necklace! Chunky necklaces are very on trend at the moment, so I thought I would see if I could find one that I liked. As soon as I saw this on boohoo.com I feel in love with it, as again it is quite basic, but has a lovely design on it and goes with practically everything. I'll be the first to admit that I'm not very daring with my jewellery and accessories, so I haven't worn it much yet, but I am trying to branch out more!

       (Dress from boohoo- smock dress)

So that is it for the jewellery I am loving at the moment! I hope you enjoyed it as it was a little bit different. Again, we are both so sorry we haven't posted in ages, but our schedule will be more regular again now, so we will probably be back again during the week for a mid-week post!

Love you guys,

L'Oréal Paris Purifying Micellar Solution

Hey guys,

Sorry our posts are so irregular recently! We will be improving on it shortly.

Today we thought we would do a review on one of our favourite skin products - the L'Oréal Paris Purifying Micellar Solution.

This is probably one of our favourite skin products to date and is a skin saviour!

It claims to dissolve make-up, unclog pores and remove impurities and tone and sooth skin. We believe it does all of these things and also works wonders on reducing lots of spots.

If you use it daily like we have it will do all of these things and it is an amazing face wash.

It says you can use it on face, eyes and lips which makes it a great makeup remover. It is also suitable for sensitive skin which is great for us. It is also a very suitable and effortable price.

Overall, we would definitely recommend getting this as it works wonderfully and we will definitely be buying it again when it runs out.

Thanks for reading and we hope you liked this post!

Love you guys,
Alice and Millie <3
