Be happy with who you are!

Hey guys

As we said we made this blog so we could talk about life not just beauty and fashion and we wanted to talk about something that has really effected us.

We have quite different body types and we were thinking about how people think you need to be size 0 to be beautiful or you need curves to be beautiful. The honest truth is these sayings aren't doing anything to help everyone as if curvy girls can love the curves why can't skinnier girls love the way the are? Surely it shouldn't matter what size you are or if you have curves when it comes to being beautiful. I know there is lot of things written about this now-a-days but it is becoming a serious issue to people we love and us ourselves so we thought we would write about it and we haven't really found anything that says what most teenage girls think about it.

Recently, in lessons at school we have been looking at what you need to do to be need to be a healthy size and other things like that - but to be honest it is doing nothing. Girls are coming out of the class and they start saying they need to go on a diet or lose weight and they don't (these will often be girls who have nothing but a 'perfect figure') and it is putting pressure on to other girls, who don't need to, to go on a diet as well.

People also are calling people 'skinny' a lot recently and it is often when they are saying someone is 'too skinny'. We do understand that it can be health damaging if someone purposely stops eating and they do become too skinny and need to put on weight but this isn't always the case. What if people are just naturally skinny and can't do anything about it? Some people do eat a lot more than others and still remain very skinny but it isn't there fault and they shouldn't be judged for it. You shouldn't judge people who are bigger than you either maybe they were once at a dangerous weight and have worked to put that weight on and are happy with the way they are. In other cases people are bigger and do want to lose weight but they want their friends to encourage them and not laugh or tell them off when they have a treat during trying to diet because maybe they just need a sugar boost. People deserve encouraging during a diet not people who stop them from eating certain foods because when people are trying to put on weight no one tells them they can't eat fruits or vegetables if they like eating them.

The honest truth is that we are sick of people judging you on what size you are or how much you weigh as it is getting ridiculous. Shops need to stop making only small dress sizes and this added to other things are making people have eating disorders or anxiety.

YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL!

Sorry for the rant we just thought we would like to express our views in our blog. If you liked this please follow us!

Thanks guys,

Makeup Haul

Hey guys <3

So as it is half term we went on a big shopping trip to boots and superdrug! We might have ended up buying a lot..... Mostly lipsticks :)

Firstly I (Alice) bought two COLORBURST matte balm sticks from Revlon in colours 225- sultry and 230- complex. This might be one of my favourite buys of the day as it gives you soft lips and very bright colour!

I also bought the super stay 24 hour bold matte lipgloss from Maybelline. It gives you a really nice colour and it stays on your lips very well. I brought it in the colour 845 - hot brown.

I also bought one of the new nude lipsticks from Maybelline in the lightest shade 710 sultry sand. I love this as it gives you a really pigmented nude colour which is just an alternative to pink and red shades.

So that is mostly what alice bought, however we did buy some of the same stuff and that is later on. I (Millie) firstly bought this Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter in the colour 'Juicy Papaya'. I won't say much as I have already raved about it loads, but I will say it is such a gorgeous colour, I might even prefer this colour to my other one 'Pink Lemonade', and is so moisturising!

I also bought L'Oreal's Infallible eye liner! It is a really thin pencil that you twist to get more, if that makes sense, and has a smudged on the end! I really like this because it goes onto your eyelid and waterline really easily, and an added bonus is that is it waterproof, so I love it even more!

This is Rimmel's Match Perfection foundation and I also love this! I mainly bought this as I needed a new foundation and I like to try new ones and so many people had raved about this, including Alice! I have only wore it once so far (yesterday at a party) so I can't give the most detailed review now, but from what I can tell from yesterday, it gives amazing coverage and is quite runny, so is very easy to blend! It also has a very handy pump!

So now for the things we both bought: more lipsticks!!!! Whoops :p this is the Bourjois Rouge Edition in   19 (Alice) and 09 (Millie). Obviously Bourjois is quite a nice brand so we had high hopes and we were not disappointed! They are extremely pigmented, and for both of us are a bit of a change since we normally go for lighter colours and these are quite bright! We will definitely be wearing these lots, as you can dress them up for the evening or wear them with a casual outfit in the daytime!

We also both bought Collection lasting Perfection concealer! It gives AMAZING coverage and makes it look like you aren't wearing that much make-up even though it does give you a flawless look! We both love it so much and cannot recommend it enough!

So that is it for this week, we really hope you enjoyed it, and if you did please follow us and comment! We'll be back on Tuesday as usual, and also we just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has followed us on blogger or on bloglovin and on twitter! We love you all!

Bye guys <3 x

Talking Tuesdays #3

School-
Hey guys,

As you probably know we are from England and our school is very .... demanding! They expect you to have all your work done at A* standard on time (this may be the next day), be in every sport squad and play a musical instrument (and be in all the musical clubs as well)! What they don't understand is by the time we get home from a match it will be around 6.00 or later and then we have dinner, do about 5 homeworks and go off to our lacrosse club (that the school asked us to go to) 7 to 8, or a club that we actually want to go to, then get home and do the remainder of our homeworks! The school then complains about how we are all tired and ill a lot of the time!

School is supposed to educate us so we can do well in the future but a lot of people in our year have become ill recently from doing too much and the stress! Our school doesn't realise that we all have lives outside of school, and that we work so much! Our homework is meant to be 20 minutes, 30 tops, but most of them are essays, and no one can play and write an essay in 20 mins! It ends up being about 2 hours and then when you get the work back, sometimes it's great, but the majority of the time they say things like 'you should have spent more time on that' or 'satisfactory' which in our school means this essay sucks!

The honest truth is this would all be okay if we had less or no homework! If school isn't a place to sleep then home isn't a place to work ;) ! They need to realise that we would all do so much better in school if we had more sleep and were more relaxed!

Thanks for reading guys! We hope you enjoyed this little (big) rant of ours! Please follow on here and on twitter so you can read more as we post lots on twitter: random stuff and updates :)
We love you guys,

Talking Tuesdays #2

Hey guys,

So today for our new series, we're going to be having a it of a rant about winter and the weather!

Now, we both love the winter: being able to dress up warm with loads of weather, hot chocolates with loads of whipped cream and marshmallows, being able to wear darker colours for make-up etc. However, this winter has been a bit of a let-down if you'll agree?!

Sorry for the quality- we're working on it!!

It has been raining so much and we don't think our town has ever been this flooded before, and to top this off it has not even snowed yet in England! It hasn't snowed!!!!! And as you can probably tell, we are seriously annoyed about this. It just doesn't seem like winter unless it has snowed. This time last year it was sooo snowy!!!!!!

It has also been really cold, but it is warming up now and we can't wait til it is spring when we can tuck away all the woolly hats, scarves, gloves and thick coats for another year... hopefully! We really hope it doesn't rain the whole year!

Sorry it was a short one, but we hope you enjoyed it anyway, and feel free to leave your comments and thoughts!

Bye guys,
Millie and Alice <3 x

Revlon Lip Butter Review

Hey guys,
Today we're going to be doing a review on the Revlon Lip Butter, but first just a quickie:
as you may have noticed we posted on Tuesday this week about fandoms. We are going to be posting every Tuesday, about different things(!!!!!!), every week in February, and longer if you guys like it, and calling it Talking Tuesdays! We hope you enjoy it, and just thought it would be nice for you to look forward to (?!) in the week. So back to the topic of today's blog.

Revlon Colourburst Lip Butter- £7.99

We personally love the Revlon Lip Butter as it is really moisturising on the lips, and also stays on for ages! It is quite sheer but we like it like this and it is noticeable, as it is slightly pigmented and a bit shiny. When it is on your lips, it actually feels like a lip balm or a gloss and makes your lips really smooth, unlike most lipsticks which just seem to make you look like you have really wrinkled, cracked lips! I've got the colour 'Pink Lemonade' or 047, which is pinkeycolour, but there is a massive range of colours, that all look soooo pretty, and we both really want more (and by more I mean all of them). They aren't too expensive at £7.99, compared to some brands, but they are really good quality and we couldn't recommend them enough!

The only thing we are not a massive fan of is the lid. We think it looks quite tacky, but we love the look of the other part of the packaging, as it does look quite professional, so we can let that slide!

Hope you enjoyed it, sorry it was a short one, and please follow us if you did! Also feel free to leave any comments agreeing or disagreeing and telling us which ones you have and whether they're good or even that you went out and bought it to try if you haven't got them already!

Love you guys
Alice and Millie <3 x

Ps. Soo excited because it's my birthday tomorrow!!! Even though I have to go to school and have parents evening (which we have to go to) Millie x

Talking Tuesdays #1

Fandoms-

I know this is rather an odd topic to write about but jointly we are in quite a lot of fandoms. Recently we have been seeing some of it getting out of hand though.

Being in a fandom doesn't mean you have to agree with every single thing the person/people do or say it just means you need to respect it and you love them still.

One thing we can't stand in fandoms are death threats. They have got to be the worst thing about fandoms. People send death threats to people's girlfriends/boyfriends or even the people families! It is disgusting and it is giving people the wrong view on fandoms. The most awful thing is inside of fandoms people are sending death threats to each other on their views! It's awful because they are supposed to all be supporting the same person/people and why are they arguing amongst each other!? It's making the people who get death threats hate the fandom.

Fandoms are meant to be like families- everyone is there for each other and supports each other. They are supposed to share their love for a person/people and just chat to each other about it. It is supposed to bring people closer together  but it is ending up as some fandoms being split up by arguments and beliefs! We're all in this together! Okay that was cheesy but it hope you understand what I'm getting at!

I just think people who are in a fandom or      not are getting the wrong idea about fandoms. People are started to take the mic out of people who are in fandoms and it's becoming upsetting!

Basically what we're getting at is we think fandoms need to calm down and take a step back and look at what they are doing! What is someone you sent a death threat to actually did kill themselves - celebrity or not - it is hurting them. We want fandoms to go back to how they used to be and what they used to be about. Where you would laugh at your idols and just love them all together in a fandom and not a fandom split up into little fandoms in its self!

Our Basic Look

Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>

We thought we would share with you what we would usually wear on a normal day! These are all high street brands and very affordable as we are skint!! We hope you like our own pictures :)

£21.99 from Boots
The brushes we like the most are the 'Real Techniques Core Collection 1403' from Real Techniques. We love these brushes as they are soft to the touch and make it easy to apply makeup.

£7.99 from Maybelline
This is the new 'Baby Skin' instant pore eraser. It is a lightweight primer and gives you smooth, poreless looking skin. We love it feels really nice on your skin and is excellent to use before your foundation to give flawless looking skin. However, be warned as at first it does feel slightly greasy on your face and hands when applying it but this soon goes.

£4.19 from Collection 2000
This is an AMAZING concealer! We can not praise it highly enough. It is the 'Lasting Perfection Concealer' from Collection 2000. It gives really good coverage and blends nicely into the skin. It is also really affordable! YAY!

£6.99 from Rimmel
This foundation is excellent as it gives an fab coverage and lasts for a long time. It also contains Advanced Smart-Tone technology for perfectly flawless skin under any light. It is the 'Match Perfection' foundation from Rimmel London.
Left: £4.49 from Seventeen  Right: £4.99 from Rimmel
We love both of these lipsticks. The one of the left is the 'Stay Pout' lipstick from Seventeen. It is the shade 'Going Steady' and is a nude/orangey colour which we would never really go for but it is a gorgeous colour. If you want to got a slightly darker colour, the one on the right is a red/pinky colour. It is the 'Lasting Finish Lipstick' from Rimmel. It is the colour 'Heart Breaker' or 016. They are both lovely but depending on weather conditions they might not last very long.

£7.99 from Maybelline

This mascara is 'The Falsies' in 'Black Drama'. We love it because it makes your lashes really long and black and creates volume and you can put on more layers to add more drama. Even though it is called 'The Falsies' we don't think it looks very fake but as we said before is buildable so you can make it look however you want it to really!

Palette: £6.49 from Barry M   Eye shadow stick: £4.49 from Rimmel
The palette has natural colours ranging from champagne white to dark, glittery brown. There are 6 colours to use individually or to be used to create a natural smokey eye effect and also has a handy blusher which is a very pretty light pink with a bit of shimmer in. The eye shadow stick is the Scandaleyes Shadow stick in the colour 002 or 'Bulletproof Beige', but there are a range of colours if this doesn't appeal to you, including a dark brown and purple. It transfers onto your eye very easily and is very smooth and easy to blend. You can use it as a base colour or on its own and we love it :p

We hope we have given you some inspiration to try these products. If you did please follow us :)
Thanks guys <3 x

Welcome!

Hey guys,
We have decided to set up our own blog. In this blog we will be writing about life, beauty and fashion.
First things first, we are two British teenage girls in school. We love shopping for make-up and clothes.
We are going to use this blog as a place to write down our thoughts and what we like and dislike.
We will try to put up a new blog every week, but sorry if we don't, as we get a lot of school work :(
We hope you like it and please follow us if you do.

We love you lots and lots,
Millie and Alice <3 x
